Line Collections Assignment

Here are some line/line movements photos I've taken near my area.

 Your eyes follow the movement of lines that are engraved on the street. All the lines sort of face in the same direction, heading towards the sun. The car to the right also faces in the same direction which makes it seem like the lines are heading in the same direction.

 You can see even the simplest of line imagery in the wood hand rail.

 You can also see the same movement of lines within the wood but also has other characteristics such as circles and other wavy lines.

 I thought this photo showed a good movement of lines within the cars are were lined up on the left and right side. It shows symmetrical balance within the photo and it kind of looks cool how the cars are lined up almost perfectly on both sides. All the cars on both side were also parked in the same direction so it makes it a lot cooler.

 Good movement of lines within the "No Parking Area". Has a very strict kind of feel and symmetrical feel within the photo.

Composition Project

Good Composition

This is a good composition because of dominance that is taking place in this photo. The main emphasis is being focused on the black cat which draws the eyes to the cat and into the center. I think this photo also shows a little bit of radial balance as the cat's round head brings the eyes of the reader to the center of the photo, because the cat's head is so dominant in this photo.

 In this photo there is balance within many of the seen objects. If you can look closely, the trees are almost identical and symmetrical as well as the apartments. Not everything in this photo is symmetrical as it seems but you can see the similarities between the trees and the apartment complex. The proportion between the trees and apartment complex are almost alike and you can see the same amount of distance and space that is within this photo.

This photo also shows lots of dominance and emphasis on the street sign. It automatically brings the eyes to read what it is said on the sign. I also like the movement of lines and space that is within the tree in the background. It sort of blends on the same line of direction as the street sign. There is also a bit of  asymmetrical balance within this photo as most of the objects are being seen on the left side and the ride side of the photo seems empty.

Bad Composition

 This is an example of a bad composition within a photo. There isn't much to see and most of the photo seems to shows just lots of straight lines(top of the apartments and trees). There isn't much variety and contrast within the photo and not much balance as well. There isn't too much color, only very dull and dark colors emphasized in this photo.
